Calming Yoga for Stress and Tension | 35 Minute Floor Practice to Rest + Reset
Join me for a calming yoga practice to help you release any stress, anxiety or tension through the body and mind. Create space and softness as you stretch and breathe into your being. Take this time to step away from life's stresses and cultivate a sense of peace and stillness from within. ✨
During our practice we will start with some soothing deep belly breathing, before moving into some gentle movement for the neck and shoulders. We will end the practice with some grounding postures and work with affirmations to encourage the body and the mind to drop into a space of spaciousness.
All levels welcomed for this practice! You will need one prop either a chair, or wall. Feel free to use blankets and pillows if this helps you to feel safe and comfortable.

A sequence to help you build heat and open the body through fluid movement. A well paced, full body class to get your heart pumping and breath flowing!

Props are friends not furniture! πŸ’›
A common misconception about props in yoga is that they are only for beginner practitioners or are an indication of weakness or area within a persons practice that is lacking.
This just isn’t true! πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
Props offer us so many different benefits with a major factor being to create a more graceful and supportive experience. A prop can open up a whole new aspect to your yoga practice. Blocks work to bring the floor closer to your body which allows for more stability. A strap makes your arms twice as long and a bolster is the most delicious way to drop into your Savasana! Certain props can also take your practice to the next level, creating additional challenges to help build strength, mobility and diversity in your movement.
A yoga practice should allow students to become attuned to their unique body, understanding what it needs and then moving and responding to it accordingly. Instead of struggling in a pose, props allow us to move with integrity and feel the pose in a more aligned way.
So don’t be afraid to use your props! You might find that it actually transforms your asana practice and brings it to the next level! ✨

I'm excited to share with you a soothing prop free yin class. A class to help you drop into your body and release any tension or resistance that you may have so that you can open up to give and receive more love, kindness and compassion. Physically we will be working into our shoulders, chest, upper back, and hips inviting in the intention of spaciousness.
This practice is suitable for all levels and no props needed. I hope you enjoy. 😊

Mood Movement Yoga

Hi! My name is Sarah and I have been in love with yoga for 7 years and counting. I first found yoga during a challenging time of my life and as my exploration with the practice grew, yoga enabled me to navigate the deep and lifelong journey through the layers of my human experience.

My offerings are to provide students with the skills to develop their own practice and to discover the benefits of yoga that translate on and off the mat. Everyone’s relationship with yoga will be different but developing a practice should ultimately lead you to a deeper inner connection, a stronger sense of your needs and desires, and tools to live an authentic, mindful and present life.

You can expect my classes to be creative and unconventional. We will explore movement that comes from a place of deep inner listening, experiencing the intelligence that lies within. You will be equally challenged and supported while recognising that through the "work" you are creating, learning, concocting, and healing.

Outside of yoga I love playing and hiking in nature, getting my hands dirty in the garden, being in the company of my favourite humans, creating art, laughing hard and loving harder.
