⚠️ People that avoid, struggle to make a realistic assessment of risk and refer to their feelings to calculate risk. It’s very beneficial to understand that our feelings don’t determine risk. ⚠️

💡A great way to determine risk is to make the distinction between what is probable and what is merely possible. It’s possible that a meteor can hit my house, but not probable💡

✊It’s liberating to be able to take action and do what we need to do despite our feelings.⚡️

There is a time to process emotion. Although, emotion / feeling erodes the ability to compartmentalise.

To compartmentalise we must use logic. 🧠

Here are 3 questions you can ask if you struggle to park your thoughts / over analysis…

Is this valid?
Is this useful?
If so, what is the most useful action moving forward?

The flip side of this is over compartmentalisation, which is a lot less common. In this case it’s about learning to incorporate more feeling / emotion.

So we often mistake a photo of a lion to be a real lion.

When this happens we can become hyper vigilant and act as if real danger is present. ⚠️

When in reality we are safe.
