Trying Something New… and Feeling the Difference
Over the years I’ve spent a lot of time lifting weights, building strength slowly and consistently. Strength training has always been my foundation.
Recently I started Muay Thai training with Grant from Top Priority… and it has been such an amazing reset.
It’s one thing to feel strong in the gym.
It’s another thing to actually express that strength through movement.
Every session I’m noticing how the years of weight training have carried over, the power in my strikes, the stability through my hips, the control through my core, and the ability to keep moving when it gets hard.
Strength isn’t just about lifting heavier weights.
It’s about building a body that can do things.
Learning something new, challenging myself in a different way, and stepping outside my comfort zone has reminded me why training is so important.
Strength builds confidence.
Strength builds resilience.
Strength carries over into everything.
And honestly… it’s just really fun.
