True presence is when you stop identifying with the story playing on the screen of your mind… and recognise yourself as the screen.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been reflecting deeply on something that sits at the heart of almost every spiritual teaching.

Stillness.

It’s a word we hear often in spiritual spaces, yet many people misunderstand what it truly means.

Most people think stillness means silence, meditation, or sitting quietly. You can sit in a quiet room with your eyes closed and still feel completely restless.

💛 You can begin introducing stillness into your day in very simple ways:

• Take three slow breaths before responding to someone
• Sit quietly for one minute before starting your day
• Put your phone away during a short walk
• Allow yourself a moment of silence before sleep

These moments may seem small, but they begin to retrain the nervous system and the mind.

They teach your body that it is safe to slow down. 😌

Divine connection begins the moment you slow down enough to notice your breath, soften your mind, and open your heart.

It is the quiet awareness that you are never separate from the source of life.

So often we search for guidance outside of ourselves, when in truth the connection has always lived within.
