🤝 Navigating Social Interactions with ADHD 🧠

Social interactions can have some distinctive challenges for those with ADHD brains. This may include:

Lets zoom in on distractibility 🕺

Maintaining focus during conversations can be difficult. Strategies that might help include:

⭐ Trying to maintain/improve lifestyle factors (like getting enough sleep and moving your body),

⭐ Choosing environments that have less competing sensory information (e.g. quieter places, or seeing friends in smaller groups) or somewhere that has more sensory input (if you're struggling to focus because of underestimation) - it can a tricky balance to find the optimal input!

⭐ Considering socialising at particular times of day or week, particularly if you have noticed any patterns for when attention is trickier for you (which could be related to sleep, medications, energy, hormones, or other work/family/study obligations)

⭐ Mindfulness or meditation can assist in the gentle practice of awareness without judgment

⭐ Socialising with people who share your interests

Understanding these nuances helps build more inclusive and compassionate relationships.

Gentle reminder: ADHD can impact people very differently. Capacity and needs can vary depending on the day, relationship, context etc. This is general information and is not a replacement for professional support ❤️

Parenting a neurodivergent teen can be hard. We're here to help.
Many parents or carers are doing a lot already and still feel unsure or overwhelmed.

Thriving Together is a five week online program for parents and carers who want more understanding, less conflict, and a calmer home. It’s neuro affirming and includes practical guidance and strategies you can start applying immediately.

The program is flexible. You don’t need to attend everything live. You can come along to the weekly group Q&A sessions or watch the recordings later. There’s no pressure to share or participate beyond what feels comfortable.

Across the five weeks, you'll receive practical content and weekly live group Q&A sessions with a psychologist. This program offers structured and specific support at a lower cost than individual therapy, with flexible payment options available and with sessions held outside of business hours to fit with your schedule.

This program is for parents or carers who may have tried a lot already, or who are supporting teens with complex or layered needs.

The program starts 27th February 2026.
It’s fully online and recordings are available.

Parenting a neurodivergent teen can be hard.
Not in a “read one more parenting book and you’ll be fine” way... but in the day-to-day, emotionally draining, am I doing this right? kind of way.

If you’re feeling worn down, unsure, or like the strategies you’ve tried just aren’t quite fitting your teen, you’re not alone.

This term we’re running Thriving Together: Parenting Neurodivergent Teens with Confidence - a 5-week online program for parents of neurodivergent teens who want more understanding, less conflict, and a calmer home (without trying to change who their teen is).

It’s neuro-affirming, practical, and realistic. We talk about what’s actually going on for neurodivergent teens, why things escalate, and what helps, while also acknowledging how hard this can be for parents.

How it works:
• Short weekly online presentations released on Fridays (starting 6th Feb)
• Optional live Q&A sessions on Wednesdays, 6:30pm–7:30pm (11th Feb – 11th March)
• Watch live or catch up later — recordings available until 2 April
• Total cost: $499

The program starts 11th February 2026 and is designed to support you to feel more confident, more connected to your teen, and less like you’re constantly firefighting.

If this sounds like something you’ve been needing, we’d love to have you join us 💛

Many people who’ve joined our group have shared that it’s helped them to:
✨ Manage overwhelming emotions more effectively
