One small, consistent step can be more supportive than an ambitious plan that adds pressure.

Progress doesn’t need to be dramatic to matter. Small 1% progress over time adds up.

When capacity is low, adding more can push the nervous system into overwhelm rather than growth.

Supporting yourself starts with honouring where you are at, not pressure.
This January, it’s okay to choose goals that match the season you’re in, not the one you think you should be in.

“Before setting goals… create your stop list.”

January often comes with pressure to add more: more goals, more routines, more expectations and new years resolution(s).

But for many mums, the nervous system is already carrying a lot.

Before asking “What should I do this year?” it can help to ask:
What could I stop, slow down, or let go of?

Removing pressure often supports regulation more than adding strategies.

Small pauses, fewer commitments, and gentler expectations can create space for real change.

✨ Welcome to the team, Dr Monica Saad ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Dr Monica as an Associate Chiropractor here at Balance Family Chiropractic.

Monica completed her Master of Chiropractic at Macquarie University and is a member of the Australian Chiropractic Association. She has a warm, patient-centred approach and is passionate about helping people better understand their bodies.

Her clinical interests include posture, mobility, headaches, neck pain and jaw discomfort, and how these can relate to lower back pain.

Outside the clinic, Monica enjoys reformer Pilates, exploring local cafés, and spending time with family ☕
