🏠 The Imagining Home conference is a two-day exploration of typical and ordinary options for creating a home that is unique to each individual with disability.

We've invited an amazing lineup of speakers, including many people with disability who have successfully moved out of their family homes into places of their own.

Our speakers will demonstrate that the nature of a person’s impairment doesn’t prevent them from living in their own place, and that there are clever ways support can be put in place to ensure every person with disability is well supported to thrive.

Who should attend?
People with disability, their families, friends, allies, and the professionals who support them.

🗓️ Wednesday-Thursday, 20-21 May 2026
⏰ 9:00 am until 5:00 pm both days
📍Hotel Realm, Barton ACT
🎟️ In-person and livestream tickets available
✅ People with disability and their family members are invited to attend free of charge

In Australia, there are two default housing solutions for people with disability:
▪️ They remain in the family home with ageing parents.
▪️ They live in a group home with people they haven’t chosen.

Beyond these options, everything else feels complex, hard to access, difficult to set up, perhaps even ‘better left to the professionals’.

An upcoming webinar by Janet Klees will challenge this thinking. She’ll show you that home, housing, and support are not daunting tasks to be put off for another day, but exciting challenges that you don't have to take on alone.

This webinar will set the stage for the Imagining Home conference, which will be held over two days in May.

We hope you'll join us for this free pre-conference webinar!
