Let’s Tackle Sepsis.

84,000 Australians are affected by Sepsis every year. If you’re struggling to think of how many people that is, it’s the same number as maximum capacity at Accor Stadium. So while you’re watching the game tonight on TV give that a thought.

Who will you be cheering on tonight?

Not long to go now until we should have an answer to our petition from Mark Butler MP. I estimate we should have it by 22nd June.

We’ve been contacted by Professor Dye from The George Institute who is assisting one of his students. She is collecting data on psychology and nutritional supplement use post ICU for her Honours thesis. Part of this data will inform a funding application for the CREATINE trial. The study has ethics approval at CSU.

Nutrition Supplementation after ICU
We invite you to complete an online survey (20-30 minutes) to answer questions about your Intensive Care (ICU) experience, current mood disorder symptoms and your perceptions and use of nutritional supplements. Participation is open to anyone who has been admitted to and discharged from an ICU or High Dependency Unit. Participants must be over 18 years of age. This data is being collected as part of an Honours Dissertation

Brief survey to assess nutritional supplement use and perceptions amongst adults who have survived critical illness, including a stay in the Intensive Care or Critical Care Unit of a hospital.
