Hi! I thought I should (finally) introduce myself properly. I'm Carly, a degree qualified Naturopath, mum of two and the one woman show behind Remedy Natural Health Clinic here in Cardwell. After living away for a long time, I am so happy to be back in FNQ doing what I love - made possible by my awesome friends and family.

The clinic offers holistic healthcare through 1:1 naturopathic consultations, a free walk-in acute care clinic, and a wellness retail space focused on practical, supportive healthcare for the local community. Online and phone consultations are also available.

1:1 consultations are available on Mondays & Fridays by appointment, and the free walk in clinic is open 9am - 2.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - shorter hours on these days because... well the kids wanna be outside and not much happens after 3pm!

Little adjustment to the clinic hours.

1:1 Consultations are now available on Mondays and Fridays by appointment.

Acute Care and shop front are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am - 2.30pm. Reminder, the Acute Care is a free walk in service, no appointment necessary.

Not sure what happens when you first see a naturopath?
For a lot of people, that’s the part that’s unclear.

At Remedy, it’s not rushed and it’s not one-size-fits-all.

Your first consultation takes around an hour or so. We go through your health history, current symptoms, medications or supplements, your recent pathology and what’s been going on over time — any medical conditions you may have, your energy, sleep, digestion, stress, and daily routine.

From there, we look at the bigger picture and work out what might be contributing and I will develop a treatment plan that’s tailored to you — practical, realistic, and designed to fit your life. This may include herbs, nutritional supplements and lifestyle advice.

If you are looking for more in-depth functional testing (such as hormone or microbiome testing) I can also arrange that after the consultation.

So... what does a Naturopath actually do?
It's a fair question, especially if you've never seen one before.

At its core, naturopathy is about stepping back and looking at your health as a whole.

Not just one symptom, but the full picture — your energy, your digestion, your stress, your routines, and what’s been building over time.

For some people, that looks like sitting down for a full consultation and undergoing in-depth functional testing.

For others, it starts much simpler — a quick chat, a bit of guidance, or support for something small that’s been bothering them.

We use evidence based nutrition, herbal medicine and lifestyle support to treat the root cause of your health issues.

Excited to be starting 1:1 consultations in clinic next week!

These consultations will be offered on Mondays, however after hours appointments can be organised. Consultations are in depth and generally take min. 1 hour.

The free walk in Acute Care dispensary will run during school hours Tuesday - Friday. This service is perfect for shorter term issues such as immune, stress and sleep support.

Excited to be back in clinic this week after the Christmas break!
Temporary hours will be Tues/Wed/Thurs 9am-3pm until the kids go back to school.

Acute Care will be open to assist with a range of things including stress, immune support/recovery, digestive complaints, sleep difficulties and more - this advice is a free walk in service. Liquid herbs, as well as powdered/tablets supplements are available to purchase.

The Well Store is stocked with proteins, collagen, electrolytes, mushrooms and more!

Bookings for full consultations will be available in the coming weeks, just sorting some final things before I open the books up.
