Our practice will be closed from Wednesday, 29 October, and will reopen on Monday, 3 November. 👣

During this time, our podiatrists Ben and Caitlin will be heading to Hobart to attend the 2025 ASICS Sports Medicine Australia Conference 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ — a fantastic opportunity to connect with leading health professionals and bring back the latest insights in sports injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance care.

A great evening to attend another Health & Wellness Seminar at Carina Leagues Club tonight!

Clinical psychologist Dr Adam Novak from Remastery Psychology, alongside Dr Tess Higgins from The Practice at Clem Jones Centre, delivered an incredibly insightful session on navigating the mental health system, understanding the role of psychologists, and accessing the right support.

The audience - including families, teens, and community members of all ages - engaged in meaningful discussion and walked away with practical tools and a clearer path forward in managing mental well-being.
These monthly seminars are proudly presented by the health professionals at Clem Jones Centre and are always free and open to everyone.

From patient to podiatrist, Caitlin’s journey is a full-circle story of passion, resilience, and dedication. Growing up in Newcastle, she experienced firsthand the transformative power of expert podiatric care — now, she’s delivering it herself.

⚽ With a background in elite-level sport and a current local footballer, Caitlin knows the demands of athletic performance — and the frustration of injury. That’s why she’s laser-focused on injury prevention, custom orthotics, detailed gait analysis, and evidence-based rehab.

📚 Caitlin holds a Bachelor of Health Science (First Class Honours), and her award-winning research into running shoes literally walked away with a national prize 🥇and a College Medal for the highest GPA in her program.

💪 When she’s not treating patients or on the pitch, she’s volunteering as a Level One Sports Trainer or attending conferences to stay ahead of the curve. A proud member of APodA, SEPA & SMA, Caitlin brings knowledge, care, and precision to every treatment.

Our team along with Sports & Family Podiatry recently made donations to a charity that is close to our heart. TBMMBEKIND

This month they are celebrating Murphy’s month by accepting donation of baby items and sharing them with new babies in their quest to share kindness across our country. Our team are very proud to be able to donate to such a cause.

This week, our team had the pleasure of welcoming Associate Professor Luke Kelly as a guest presenter for our collaborative professional development session. As both a valued colleague and good friend, Luke shared fascinating insights from his research in foot and ankle biomechanics and neurophysiology.
His discussion highlighted the real-world applications of his work in improving musculoskeletal patient care and driving innovation in the athletic footwear industry. A huge thank you to Luke for sharing his expertise and sparking some great discussions across the team!
