You don't have to change everything overnight.

And you definitely don't have to punish yourself for slipping up — because what we're doing here is unwinding old patterns. Old beliefs. And that takes time.

Here's the shift I want you to start with:

Just ask yourself: "Is this mine to hold?"

That one question? It's enough to start pulling old patterns out of your subconscious and bringing them forward where your brain can actually do something with them.

Your mind will start looking for new solutions. It will start noticing the patterns as they arise, rather than being swallowed by them.

That's where the real change begins. Not in perfection. In awareness.

One of the most common patterns I see...

Is women who give everything to everyone around them and almost nothing to themselves.

And the thing is, energy doesn't work that way.

We cannot sustain giving from a depleted system.

But when we're full — aligned, resourced, connected — we can give endlessly without running dry.

The question isn't whether to give.

It's whether you're giving to yourself first.

It's the knowing.
The tracking.
The holding.
Who has the next dentist appointment? When do the school shoes need replacing?

All of that thinking, all of that coordinating, living constantly in one person's mind...

And scared is normal.
Scared makes sense.

Burnout isn’t always about doing too much.
It’s about how much we’re holding.

Holding responsibility that may not be ours.
Holding emotions.
Holding expectations.
Holding things together for other people.

And even holding ourselves to a certain standard —
what it means to be a good partner, a good mother, a good human.

That’s a lot.

So we stay braced.
Armoured.
On.

And often defensive.
Not just of what we’re carrying…
but of what we’re not putting down.

And over time, that’s what pulls us out of the present moment.

Not because we’re doing too much —
but because we’re still holding too much.
