One of the major benefits of a program like ActiveStrongerBetter that provides and promotes community exercise programs to older adults is the mental health benefits that the participants experience from the physical exercise itself but also through the connection to community and a social group. ππ±π§

The ASB program was recently awarded a national award from AUSactive for its work in Mental Health Awareness and today is world mental health day, so its the perfect opportunity to highlight the mental health benefits of regular exercise and joining a community based class like those in the ActiveStrongerBetter program. π
