National Reconciliation Week (27 May–3 June)

This year’s theme, 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗻, encourages all Australians to take meaningful steps toward 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Mind‑Care acknowledges the Awabakal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land we live and work on. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, extending that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Many First Nations clients place their trust in our team, including those accessing services through Closing the Gap. We approach that responsibility with cultural humility and respect.

National Reconciliation Week 2026 — 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗻.

Today brings together 𝗚𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝘆 — three linked celebrations of community, shared stories and the comfort of finding people who “get” your thing.

Niche interests can sometimes look unusual or isolating from the outside. But for many adults — autistic adults, deep thinkers, introverts or those who’ve always felt a bit on the edge — 𝗵𝘆𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴, rewatching the same series 📺 or having 𝗼𝗻𝗲‑𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 are ways of feeling grounded and understood.

And the truth is: there will always be someone else who loves that same specific world, character, quote or detail. 🌟

At Mind‑Care, we use these natural points of connection to build therapeutic rapport and create a space where adults feel safe to be fully themselves.

On Schizophrenia Awareness Day, we’re acknowledging how important it is to listen without rushing to conclusions.

Adults experiencing changes in 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, or 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱 often need understanding, stability and a space where they can speak freely.

At Mind‑Care, we offer calm, relational support for adults navigating complex mental health experiences, stress, trauma and life transitions.

If you’re looking for a grounded space to talk, our team is available.
