Can you really put a value on your health?

I had a wonderful time chatting with Molly from Ladies Finance Club about how to invest a little bit of time and money to ensure your health is on track. This episode of Get Rich is out now, wherever you get your podcasts.

We've made a checklist for your 30's, 40's and 50's to make sure that you're starting 2026 with your health in order.

A few hundred dollars spent this year could save you thousands down the line in missed days of work or school, extra bloods tests and scans and extra medical bills.

So it’s the next day and you've woken up thinking "I REALLY hope I'm not pregnant".

You can access emergency contraception or "the morning-after pill" by visiting the pharmacy within the first 72 hours. You do not need a script. The sooner you take it the more effective it is.

But did you know that you can also have a copper IUD inserted within 5 days of having s*x as a form of emergency contraception?

If you're finding that emergency contraception is becoming less of an emergency thing and more of a monthly routine thing, then it might be time to think about another form of contraception.

It's that time of year already! It's a busy and stressful period of time for many and it's so easy to put yourself last.

Make sure you prioritise yourself and your health. Book in early to make sure your scripts are up to date and you have enough medication for the holidays.

Don't let the holidays interrupt the small things that keep your mental health on track. Keep up the exercise and mindfulness activities that you are already doing. Go easy on the festive cocktails.

Have a budget and stick to it. You don't want to get to January and feel like you can't afford to look after yourself and your family.

Book in for an appointment today before the silly season really gets into full swing

A bone density scan or DEXA tells us about the health of your bones and is part of the screening process for Osteoporosis.

Even without a Medicare rebate, a DEXA will only leave you out of pocket about $150. A small price to bay to avoid brittle bones which can lead to devastating fractures.

The great news is that with adequate treatment, low bone density (Osteopenia or Osteoporosis) can be reversed.

Book to see us at .womens.wellness to get a referral for a DEXA scan today.

👻 Trick or treating might be for the kids… but if you’re out having your own kind of fun this Halloween, make sure it’s all treat and no trick!

If you’re s*xually active, it’s a great time to get screened for chlamydia and other STIs.

Testing is simple, quick, and can even be done as a self-collected swab.

Book your screening today at Sydney Women's Wellness and keep things sweet this spooky season.

Don’t ignore the blue test kit! I promise it's not as scary or yucky as you think and it could save your life.

The rates of bowel cancer in young people is on the rise which is why your free screening now starts from age 45.

If your last kit is lost forever in your bathroom cupboard or bedside table (they do expire), order another one at https://www.ncsr.gov.au/bowel-program/manage-your-participation-in-the-bowel-program/request-a-free-bowel-test-kit.html or drop in to see us and we can give you a replacement kit
