MEET THE EDITOR 👩💻
Julie Jones is the co-founder and editor of Travel Without Limits. She and her son, Braeden, have been travelling the world together for over 20 years.
When Braeden was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Julie worried that she wouldn't be able to share her love of travel with her son. She searched high and low, but she struggled to find clear, accurate information about accessibility that would make travel possible for her family.
"We can't be the only ones who want to do this," she thought.
She started to share information herself, about what she and Braeden learned on their family adventures together, on her blog Have Wheelchair Will Travel ♿️ Her community grew to include thousands of travellers, sharing information about hundreds of destinations that are accessible for travellers with disabilities - plus a few tips and tricks for everyday family life with a disability, too.
Julie soon realised that there were many other travellers with disabilities who have incredible stories, but mainstream travel publications weren't likely to make accessibility a front-page news story. That's why she decided to start her own accessible travel magazine: Travel Without Limits.
Travel Without Limits remains Australia's only disability-specific travel magazine, sharing the kind of clear, accurate accessibility information that Julie searched for when she began travelling with Braeden.
