This is a great memory from a past retreat reflection .
Next retreat in December already half full . DM me if you are interested in a healing drum making retreat in December in Adelaide . South Australia 🙏🏻
🕊️Does …’facilitating’ healthy change or healing determine that you are a “healer?”🕊️
My much loved friend and VA, Karla Reynolds recently created a beautiful flyer for one of my retreats. Generally I guide her with words and sentences, then she creates what she perceives I provide for my clients - she knows me very well. ☺️
Recently she promoted that the day retreat would be with “healers” and I felt a slight panic .
“We can’t deliver healing!” I thought.
“Is this false advertising?”
“People can’t arrive with illness/disease and wounds and leave…. ‘healed,’ I worried”
“Does my insurance cover false advertising?” I wondered.
After spending a great deal of time contemplating this, I have found a comforting definition in Lissa Rankin’s book ‘Sacred Medicine’… (great book for those in the healing arena)
She writes “…if you can create safe space when someone feels vulnerable, helpless, scared, and isolated, you’re a healer - whether you are putting your hands on someone’s body, making someone’s cappuccino, or cutting their hair.”
Shout out to all those wonderful hairdressers/ baristas out there 🙏🏻
So … there it is! 💚
When I ask my clients what it is they perceive I actually DO for them (including NLP, herbal recommendations, life-coaching, energy medicine, nervous system tuning etc )
They often say it’s “space holding“ that is my super power… interesting…time and space and the areas of potential fascinate me (think manifestation!) ✨🔮🪄✅
🙏🏻I am going to finish this post with a favourite concept that goes something like this…
💚You CAN heal yourself but you can’t do it alone 💚
