I had the pleasure of attending a morning with the All Stars Choir on Wednesday! Special shout out to my bro Tim Ireland who rocks it with the gang and encourages each and every one of them to experience the joy of making music. The All Stars Choir meets every Wednesday at 265 Canterbury Rd, Bayswater North, at 10.30am. Got to hang out with my Dad Ron Ireland too, which is always a bonus! 😍

Then it was on to a wonderful lunch with my client, put on by Holy Fools. Street Angels is a weekly lunch put on by this amazing organisation, a chance to get a full belly and sit and have a good chat with friends.

It’s also been one year since I started my little business! It’s been one of the most amazing and fulfilling things I’ve ever done. Here’s to another year of loving what I do!

One of my clients and I have started going to the Street Angels lunch every fortnight. Such a wonderful organisation that does a lot for our community. In my client’s case, it gives him a full belly of yummy food and the chance to meet and talk to other people in a relaxed setting with no expectations or judgements 😊

Just spent five days down along the Great Ocean Road with one of my regular clients, staying at Warrnambool for him to see family and visiting Port Fairy, Portland and an overnight stay in Aireys Inlet to see one of his favourite bands! There was lots of amazing food consumed, driving and sightseeing done! A great trip!

Said goodbye to this beautiful man today. One of my first clients who became a firm friend, a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Our mutual love of coffee and cars made for great conversations. I loved taking care of him. He’s missed already. Rest In Peace Tom 😘😘😘

Morning coffee time! 😍 up in Yarra Junction today, this is my client’s backyard! 😍 the river is high and flowing rapidly, still no power but they are safe after having to evacuate a few weeks ago. Enjoy your Monday and the beautiful warm weather we are having!

I guess it was just a matter of time 🤷‍♀️ and my time began on Sunday night when I did my usual weekly rapid antigen test before the start of the working week and up came a positive result. Nothing worse than having to let your clients down 😭

I can’t fault Eastern Health at all for their care of me since I notified the Covid hotline. I’ve had daily calls from nurses and doctors, checking up on me. I am in the high risk category due to being on immuno suppressant medication, so they sent me out anti viral medication to take, along with a pulse oximeter and thermometer.

I’m doing pretty well. No energy and very tired, so I’ve been spending all my time in bed or on the couch. Snotty nose, headache and aches and pains have also been par for the course. I’m hoping for a quick recovery so I can get back to the job I love! Take care out there, it’s a very nasty flu season too!

It was a chilly one this week, a sign of things to come! I hope you found some sunshine! Luckily for me, I have a couple of clients who like being active, so this week I went bike riding, played badminton and today I hung out at Dandenong skatepark and yes, I got on the scooter! 😂 can’t say I went on any of the ramps tho, but we had great fun!

A month in the life of A Little Touch of Sunshine…. what an amazing first month it’s been for my little business!

There’s been a lot of personal care, airport trips, hospital trips, late nights watching Stranger Things!, afternoons playing Scrabble, a trip to Maroondah Dam and quite a few shopping trips! No two days are the same! First Aid Training and CPR refresher course also took place!

I’ve met some wonderful people who have now become regular clients. My bucket is full! (and so is my calendar, almost!) I still have a couple of shifts available through the weeks, so feel free to contact me for any care needs you may have or need for someone close to you!
