Chronic Pain & the 4 P’s 🧠👇

Chronic pain isn’t just physical — it can affect sleep, mood, confidence, and daily life.

A helpful framework we use is the 4 P’s of Chronic Pain:

✅ Pain – understanding what’s happening
✅ Purpose – staying connected to what matters
✅ Pacing – balancing activity without flare-ups
✅ Positivity – building resilience (not “good vibes only”)

Communication is a huge part of recovery 🗣️
Being heard, understood, and educated reduces fear and helps build a clear plan.

That’s also why manual therapy matters 🙌
Not just for movement, but because it gives us time to talk, counsel, and work through your pain together.

If you know me, you would know that I is an absolute audiobook addict! We are currently working on sourcing some of our favourite recommendation books for the clinic 📕 My favourite way of reading in these books are audiobook form (which makes sharing a little bit harder), but I thought I would share screenshots of my favourite books over the last year in order of my most recommended as well!

🎧 I’ve listen to them (mostly) free on a mix of Spotify, BorrowBox, and Libby.

I hope this helpful to everyone I have recommended a book to (but forgotten the name of it!) or finds interest in these subjects too.

Our last day for appointments is this Saturday 26th Oct and then we will be back at it on Wednesday 6th Nov.

Our regulars would know we are heading away for a big birthday 😉 🎉

Fun fact about our chiros!
Sarah was a swim teacher and coach for toddlers all the way up to adults for a decade before becoming a chiro! ⭐️

It was a huge part of her life and still a passion.
Her client management still has a strong emphasis on balance, education, building strength & endurance and the importance of consistency.

Not to mention the many more water options there are for exercises. 🏊‍♀️ 💦

Next time you are in be sure to question her about anything regarding swimming! 🥽
