We’re excited to announce two new Reformer Pilates Classes with Sarah Hamilton

A 6am class to start your day strong, and a 5pm class to reset and unwind.

We’re still offering your first 3 classes for $30. Come and give it a go.

Sarah blends traditional Pilates with modern, resistance‑based training for sessions that are dynamic, low‑impact, and welcoming for all levels.

When:
• 6am Wednesdays or
• 5pm Tuesdays

Stress isn’t the enemy.In fact, the right kind of stress is how we grow, adapt, and become more capable humans.

The real skill is learning to tell the difference between good stress (the kind that stretches you) and bad stress (the kind that overwhelms you). Most of us were never taught that distinction — so our limbic brain fires alarms even when we’re safe, capable, and just… challenged.

When we can calm that limbic surge, we unlock the stress that builds us instead of breaking us. That’s where resilience lives. That’s where adaptation happens.

New 6am Pilates Class with Sarah Hamilton (Mondays)

We’re excited to welcome Sarah Hamilton to the timetable with a new 6am General Pilates class.

Snowy Mountains–raised and always active, Sarah has spent her life moving — from skiing and horse riding to running and strength training. As a mum of three, staying active is part of everyday life, and Pilates has been a steady, transformative anchor for her. She’s now an APPI‑certified Mat and Reformer instructor, passionate about helping people feel strong, confident, and well.

Her classes blend traditional Pilates with modern, resistance‑based training for fun, full‑body sessions that energise and support long‑term wellbeing. Low‑impact, dynamic, and tailored to how your body feels on the day.

When: 6am Mondays
Where: Monaro Physio
Level: General (all welcome)

You’re not lazy. You’re conditioned. Conditioned by a school system that taught you to move only when the bell said so. Conditioned by advertising that normalised ultra‑processed food and sold “convenience” as health.Conditioned by a culture that glorifies being busy and treats exercise like punishment.

If movement feels hard, overwhelming, or “not for you”… that’s not a character flaw. It’s the residue of systems you never chose.

Every time you move — even for 30 seconds — you’re unlearning that conditioning. You’re taking your body back.

Exercise and rehab isn’t just about fixing a structure. It’s about remembering why you want to move well in the first place.It’s about being present with your kids, showing up in your work, contributing to your community, and living a life that actually feels like yours.

When you reconnect with your deeper “why,” rehab stops being a chore and becomes an act of alignment — a way of stepping back into the world with intention, strength, and purpose.

Move for something bigger than the pain. Move for the life you want to live.

By the time I turned 25, I was dealing with head trauma, a 50% compression fracture at T8, and a lumbar spondylolisthesis that made even the small things hurt.I saw doctors, physios, chiros — the options were fusion surgery or giving rehab everything I had. I chose the long road. Now I’m training for a sub‑4 marathon and finding joy in all the little things I used to brace myself for. Movement gave me my life back — one patient, stubborn step at a time.

Did someone say free Physio?

We’re lucky to have Mo with us from University of Canberra for the next month. He’s done 4 years of training (final placement).

We’re looking for 10 people who want some exercise based physio - no charge to you!

This will be done in our gym so is good for people with osteoarthritis, low back pain or other non-irritable conditions.

Sophie Forlico had a feature in the local paper today. To kick her off we’ll be offering a no-gap (or $62) 45 min initial appointment until 1st of January 2026.

There’s a lot of benefits to targeted exercise, especially in high risk groups like perimenopause women.

So happy to have her!

Although the names of Pilates exercises can sound strange, the principle is actually very smart. Our body’s evolved from walking on our hands and swinging from trees. Our modern lifestyle sets us up for a conglomerate of problems that can be avoided with a bit of healthy movement.
