You are invited to the CAM ART AWARDS 2026 official exhibition opening event on Saturday 2nd May - 3pm

There is still time to enter a work if you create quickly or have something made that matches the theme of EXTREME WEATHER as forms are due on the 16th April and artworks no later than 23rd April.

The competition will be judged on the 28th, the show opens on the 29th and the winners will be announced at the Opening event on the 2nd May.

🌈 Autism Awareness Month 💙

Autism is a spectrum and looks different for everyone 🌈

It is important to recognise that autism is not defined by limitations or support needs alone. It is a difference in how people communicate, process information and experience the world 🧠

Autism can present differently for every individual and support needs can vary and change over time 🔄 While some individuals may require support many live and work independently and bring valuable strengths, perspectives and skills to their communities 💼✨ Differences in communication and behaviour are part of how autism presents and should be understood within that context 🤝

Executive functioning for example refers to how we plan, organise and manage tasks 📝 In autism this can look different and may require more structure but it can also be associated with strengths such as strong focus, attention to detail and consistent ways of thinking 🎯

Understanding autism means recognising both the challenges and the strengths and seeing the person beyond the diagnosis 💙
