With hot weather across the region, it is important to take extra care of your health especially during heatwaves.
Simple ways to stay well in the heat:
π§ Drink water regularly, even if you donβt feel thirsty
π§ Replace electrolytes if sweating heavily
π Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
π Stay in cool or air-conditioned spaces where possible
πΆοΈ Avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day
π Eat light, hydrating foods such as fruit, salads, smaller meals
πΆπ΅ Check on elderly relatives, young children and vulnerable neighbours
β οΈ Watch for signs of heat stress:
Dizziness, headache, nausea, cramps, confusion or excessive fatigue.
