Being Neurodivergent and LGBTIQI+ shapes an individual’s life experiences at every age, and can present significant challenges to their mental health. Increasing evidence suggests a strong connection between neurodivergent identities and LGBTIQAP+ identities. Gender diverse individuals are more likely to be autistic along with experiencing higher rates of ADHD. For therapists, teachers, and helping professionals, understanding this intersectionality is paramount in addressing barriers and creating safe, supportive environments where individuals feel valued and empowered.

I’m always here for Autistic pride.

I wrote this about my own neurodivergent friends.
It won’t apply to everyone.

I forgot to add ‘hilarious and brilliant’ on there. Then I ran out of room. Apparently my friends have amazing qualities too numerous to mention.
A fine problem to have, indeed.

Neurodivergent friendships are magic.
