Loving these words of wisdom from
・・・
I talked last year about the juggle of mum life and business life and quite a few of you were interested. This is something I am finding a lot easier 2nd time around, even though we are having a tougher time because perhaps as my expectations are a lot more realistic. For me routine is definitely a secret weapon, but... not too much routine. I learnt with my first bub too much structure and routine really increased my stress levels and I just put way too much pressure on myself to get things done. This time the one firm routine I have is to have a solid plan for the week but be totally flexible with it. I have a list for each day on what I would love to get done then once Marley goes to sleep and I have some time to myself having lunch, meditating, exercising or just relaxing I will get my list out and get to it. It saves me so much time wondering what I can do and ensuring a good flow from week to week. Then as soon as Marley wakes up, I update my list, switch off from it and come back to it in the next nap. At the end of the week I look at what I have got through, carry whatever I need to onto my next weeks list and carry on. It really helps me stay on task and reduce planning, thinking and time wasting and therefore stress is really minimised. It works the same for me time/ exercise. If it’s in the plan then I am so much more likely to do it. This is one of many little life savers which I will share over the coming weeks.
Who is struggling with the work/kids juggle?
