Teddy our house goat here at Pabs Place.

We got him and his brother at 1 day old as rejected by mum.
Bill did not make it having missed out on colostrum and having underlying issues.
But our boy Ted has brought us so much joy.
Especially me.
He's helped my so much on bad days of chronic pain and low mobility.
All the animals here do. Ted is just times šŸ’Æ
I adore him

Check out Tink McMullen’s video.

This is Ted. One of the animals at Pabs Place. We often have different babies here. He's adorable šŸ˜

Crazy socks are my jam. Please support a good cause. Pabs Place is one of Sams 1000, contributing each month to the cause.

We aim to have a respite for carers unit, along with a palliative care service by the time Pabs is fully operational called Nicky's Nest after a childhood friend who lost her battle with breast cancer.

Please get in board any way you can by donating, liking or sharing the link.

Because f@ cancer!

My sister Connie was diagnosed with a Ewing's Sarcoma at 11 years young. That year, there were two girls with Ewing’s in this state. Connie got through that one, but only just. The other young girl died.

Dad cried on the couch after he found out. I had never seen Dad cry. I had never seen him in the foetal position either. The memory is etched in my brain forever. I asked him what was wrong. He said ā€˜your sister has a tumour’. I didn’t know what a tumour was. I figured it must be something really bad.

Recently I went to a fancy castle in Sydney, home to some swisho governor, and LYS was appointed a benefactor of CCIA - the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia. Australia is the first country in the world to make Precision Medicine available to all children with cancer. A huge milestone. But what about the next 2,000 kidlets? They matter too…so I doubled our existing commitment.

I can’t just pull masses of money out of thin air. We give the CCIA what all children raise through our Crazy Sock Days and Five Cent Fridays and last year, we gave the CCIA $186,484. That’s what I promised to double, and I can’t break a promise to sick kids, so I’m hoping you’ll help me with this hole I dug?

I feel it’s only appropriate to launch this ā€˜Oops, I Dug A hole’ campaign on Connie’s birthday, today. I have shown through my long-distance unicycle ride (15,478kms over 364 days) that I don’t give up. I have shown to be a competent fundraiser and am delighted to have helped raise nearly $20M so far. My point? I will not stop until I dig myself out of this hole. Help me if you can?

I dug a hole. A big hole. A hole worth $186,484. I have all year to come up with the cash, and it starts now, on Connie’s birthday, for all kids sick with cancer today. There’s so much more to come. I think you’ll like what I have planned!

Just a work from home chicken mama writing reports for NDIS clients.
Looks relaxing for some of us.
If this report comes out with our sweary bits, you can thank my emotional support chicken Hei Hei.
Any other COS feeling frustrated right now?

Todays adventures began with a large needle inserted into my calf muscle and deltoid, and electric shocks to many of my muscles in the body.

Nerve conduction study done and dusted.

Feels like I have climbed a mountain

Last year was the Year that finally knocked me on my arse.

There was just such a build up of years and years of constant trauma, to much of one life spent in survival mode.

These things do have a huge effect on your body.

It is why many of us end up with autoimmune disorders, or chronic illness that results from high inflammation within your body.

I had to really look at my life under a microscope to determine where and how to spend my energy.

I needed to make massive changes to ensure that the limited spoons I have each day are used where they are most needed.

How does someone like me, do this?

That pain in the systems arse who turns up to every fight, all tools ready to mow down discrimination and ableism like the use- the- right- termsinator.

But what happens now with this increasing fatigue that creeps on in no matter what sort of demand I am having to meet.

I think I may be finally getting the hang of things.

Last year when I received a message from an entitled middle aged white man crapping on about opinions disguised as facts, I just blocked and moved on.

And today when receiving an ugly, chock full of ableism, tone policing and downright ignorance, it just bounced off me like bullets on superman.

Before now, it would have eaten at me. I'd have tried to 'teach' them why what they're doing or saying was this, that and the other.

Feel so rejected, and unheard, insulted, outraged, etc, etc, etc.

I can literally see the energy burning away just thinking about it.

I would get so triggered!! All that precious energy getting sucked up into this vortex of righteousness.

Ewww girl. Put a lid on it.

Is it worth that precious commodity being used up to tism-splain to someone who views themselves as elite to you because of an uneducated opinion that there is one superior divergance of which they belong and you don't?

We do have a tendency to be social justice warriors. But do we need to always be the one to show up?

Can someone else do it this time?

Is it even necessary? Some people are never going to hear you, no matter what you say.

Some people don't even want to hear you.

And anyone who wants to belittle or punish for wanting to heal, or do better, is not worth your energy any way.

What are you all doing to protect your energy?

Have you made any changes to ensure that you are a priority?

With our brains being what they are, this is essential to us. This is something we will discuss as part of my support of you.

It is so important and you are a priority.
