One of the biggest misconceptions about endometriosis is that the level of pain always reflects the severity of the disease.

In reality, symptoms can vary widely. Some people with early-stage endometriosis experience severe pain, while others with more advanced disease may have fewer symptoms.

Endometriosis affects everyone differently, which is why proper assessment and personalised care are so important. If pelvic pain is affecting your daily life, please get in touch with Dr Anthony Marren.

Managing endometriosis often requires a combination of medical care and supportive lifestyle habits.

While treatment plans vary for everyone, small daily habits, such as maintaining a balanced diet, gentle exercise, and prioritising rest, may help support overall wellbeing and symptom management.

If you’re living with endometriosis, working with a specialist can help you understand your condition and explore the best options for your care. Dr Anthony Marren can assist in this area, especially when fertility is a concern. Please get in touch: www.anthonymarren.com.au

Trying to conceive starts with understanding your cycle.

Ovulation tracking helps identify your most fertile days to improve the chances of pregnancy. Using hormone blood tests and ultrasound monitoring, Dr Anthony Marren can accurately determine when ovulation is likely to occur and assess how your cycle is functioning.

If you’re unsure about your cycle or having difficulty conceiving, ovulation tracking can be an important first step.

Endometriosis affects up to 1 in 7 women of reproductive age and can significantly impact pain, fertility, and quality of life.

The condition is classified into four stages, from minimal (Stage I) to severe (Stage IV). This is based on where and how extensively the tissue grows outside the uterus. Knowing your stage helps guide diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management. Learn more about what each stage means and why symptoms don not always match severity.

With endometriosis, it is important to care for your mind as well as your body.

Endometriosis can take an emotional toll just as much as a physical one. Ongoing pain, days lost to symptoms, fertility concerns and the uncertainty of flare-ups affect mood, stress levels and overall quality of life, regardless of whether you are experiencing Stage I or Stage IV.

It’s important to recognise that mental health is part of your care journey. Support can look like counselling, peer communities, mindfulness practices or simply opening the conversation with your care team. Addressing emotional wellbeing is not separate from good medical care, it enhances it.

If you are struggling with the emotional side of endometriosis, you deserve support. Reach out, talk about it, and let’s care for both your body and mind.
