Hi Everyone!

Thought I'd been a bit quiet on here recently, please don't think that means I'm not available, I'm still here!

I just wanted to give you this little reminder, that no matter what stage of motherhood you're in, pre- conception to Grandmother, you're amazing!

Please feel free to reach out if you feel I may be able to help you. I specialise in trauma-informed maternal care and can provide you with a safe space to explore your feelings and emotions and to help you thrive throughout Motherhood!

Love Sophie ❤️❤️❤️

I always have a massive sense of guilt on the weekends. I spend my week running around, parenting, house work, running a business, so my weekends tend to be quiet. However I always feel like I should be getting my daughter out and about and making some amazing memories.
Yet my fondest memories as a child are just playing in our garden with my sister, we did occasionally go out and do things, but not regularly, and they don't stick in my memory.
By embracing the slow with babies, toddlers and young children, we create space for:
- improved communication
- better observation skills
- stronger relationships
- increased independence
- improved motor skills
- enhanced learning
- emotional development
- creativity boost
- reduced stress
- enhanced mindfulness
So don't sweat the small stuff. Your children's core memories will be with you, no matter where you are or what you do. You're doing awesome!

Sophie,
❤️❤️❤️

Happy Sunday Morning you lovely lot! I hope you're having a restful weekend!

I've received a few messages from people asking what it is I actually do, so thought I would try to explain a little clearer! If you have any questions though, please do feel free to reach out!

I am a Certified NLP Practitioner and Trauma Informed Coach, I am also currently studying to be a Doula and have also done a significant amount of other training in breathwork, trauma and somatic healing.

My aim is to help support and educate Mothers, at ANY stage of their journey, to empower themselves to stop the transmission of trauma generationally.

This will initially be a consultation, to see if we are the right fit, where we discuss your goals and we develop an action plan, which will consist of a variety of different techniques to help you depending on your specific circumstances.

Working through trauma, does not mean you need to relive your trauma. We aim to keep it as brief as possible and focus on the outcomes as opposed to the traumatic experience.

If this sounds like something you could benefit from, please do reach out, I'd love to hear from you!

Sophie,
❤️❤️❤️

I've had a lot of conversations over the years about perception. And I still think it's a fundamental key to unlocking a lot of people pleasing behaviours.
What one person perceives is only THEIR truth. It doesn't mean it's YOUR truth. It doesn't mean you have to act or say or do or see things differently, everyone does.

Just know that what one person sees, isn't necessarily an accurate perception of the truth.

Good Afternoon guys and gal's!
I hope you're all having a beautiful day! We had a big day yesterday with lots of running around and driving, along with the heat, so we're having a chilled PJ day at home today!

I am hoping to start a "Peer Support Group" after the school holidays, where mums at any stage can come and chat, have a coffee, without judgement. Let's build our own village! Would anyone be interested in this? It would obviously be dependent on numbers, but I could also use this time if you were interested to hold a different education session each time on different topics: bedsharing, sleep, birth trauma, trauma informed parenting ect.

Let me know what you think!

Sophie ❤️❤️❤️

Hi everyone, massive welcome to all my new followers! Thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me!

As I said yesterday, I thought I would do another little intro, so you all know a little bit about me and what I may be able to support you with.

I'm Sophie, originally from the UK, and moved to Port Pirie in 2018 to be closer to be my best friend and Godson.
I became pregnant in 2022 and had a rough time, I had hyperemisis, and was needing fluid through a drip almost every week. My daughter was very active from early on, however instead of feeling and enjoying the movements, it would make me more sick. I didn't enjoy it.
I returned to the UK for a holiday, as approved by my OB, at 22 weeks and returning back to Adelaide at 26 weeks. However the return flight didn't go according to plan, and I became very ill and went in to labour somewhere over Bangkok! I was flown to Melbourne where I was taken off the plane by paramedics and rushed to hospital. Fortunately the amazing doctors were able to stop my contractions with medication, however I continued to go in and out of labour, which was stopped every time, until finally at 36 weeks I gave birth to my daughter. I spent those 10 weeks in hospital, away from any friends or family, no support.
Following my pretty crappy pregnancy, I had a hard time adjusting to being a mum. It didn't come naturally to me. Everything felt inadequate. I put so much pressure on myself to be the "perfect" mum and I cracked.
I knew I needed more support, I surrounded myself with professionals, started going out for walks and meeting friends for coffee, started doing online courses. I was lucky. I was able to get the support I desperately needed and a LOT of self help. However I often hear women say they don't have support or they're battling motherhood alone. So I want to be here for you. I want to create a "village" of support around you. Child rearing is not natural, it is a learned skill, we learn from those around us, and if we don't have those around us, we don't learn.

If you, or someone you know, feels you may need this type of support, please reach out. I'm here for you. ❤️❤️❤️

Happy 1st Day of October u beautiful people!

Again, I'm sorry for the lack of updates, things have been a bit busy with buying a house! However today we're back with a bang!

You may have noticed we've had a bit of a rebrand, we are now "Kin Kin Maternal Care"! This name has a lot of sentimental meaning for me, my daughter says 'Kin Kin' instead of chicken, and it also means a line of ancestors. Which is the whole meaning behind what I want to achieve with the business, to create a "village" for the women who potentially don't have that.

So, massive thank you to all my supporters who have helped me to bring my vision to life!

I will do another little intro post to tell you all a little about me tomorrow, but if you feel you may benefit from having a bit more of a "village" around you, please get in touch, I would love to make that happen for you.

Sophie ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Everyone!

Happy Grand Final Weekend! I don't follow the football, so to be honest, it doesn't really matter to me, but for those celebrating or commiserating, be kind.

Unfortunately I've had to take a little time out, things have been incredibly busy with the business and we've also bought a property, so things have been a bit full on, but in a good way! And lots of exciting things in the pipeline!

However I am having to create a new page, as Facebook won't let me amend this one, so this account is going to be closed down. I will be inviting everyone to join the new page when I've got it up and going and will have exciting news to share! So please keep your eyes peeled! 😍😍😍
