We were honored to welcome Dr. Richard Fejo, NDIA Board member and respected Larrakia elder, to Care NT.
Dr. Fejo shared invaluable insights on the importance of culturally appropriate care for First Nations people. He emphasized the need for a deeper understanding of the rich heritage and diverse cultures of Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory.

The critical importance of cultural competency in NDIS service delivery
The need to recognize and respect the unique cultural contexts of different First Nations communities
The value of incorporating traditional practices and knowledge into care plans
