Darwin Easyriders Cycling and Breakfast and Coffee Group are looking for new companion cyclists and foodies.
When: Saturday morning.
Where: Two meet up points - 630 am Nightcliff Pool northern car park (look for the park bench) and 715 at the entrance to Crocodylus (opposite Peter McCauley Centre). From there we usually either ride back to the city or towards Lee Point and Nightcliff. Total distance is usually 20-40 km, 1-2 hrs. Sometimes other rides mid week for those interested.
Breakfast: why not? Venue varies from week to week, but Saltwater at the Museum, Eva's at the Botanical Gardens, and Cafe De La Plage get big mentions. 830am.
Bike: any bike is ok - MTB, road, electric. Sealed bike paths only, where possible.
Who are we?: These days we're mostly built for comfort, not for speed. Let's face it, our better days are behind us, but in our minds we're all 23, with big plans. Sometimes they actually happen.
Who are you?: anyone, gender irrelevant, sociable or otherwise, age irrelevant, new to bike riding or fresh from the Tour de France (the latter might find us keen but a bit slow), capable of pedalling, eating and drinking, but not at the same time.
Cost: nil, apart from what you choose to spend on breakfast.
Interested?: send a text to Garry on 0412346542 if you have any further questions, or to let us know you are coming.
Photos?: thought you'd never ask...
