Youth Alcohol & Drug Program
We are proud to be delivering our Youth Alcohol & Drug Program for young people, led by Waterlily Healing Indigenous Corporation.
This program creates a safe, non-judgemental space where young people can come together to learn, yarn, and heal through creativity, and connection.
β¨ What makes this program different?
Our sessions are hands-on and story-based, using:
π¨ Painting and creative expression
πΆ Music and rhythm
π£οΈ Yarning circles
π Storytelling and lived experience
And activities.
Rather than lectures or worksheets, we walk alongside young people to explore:
β’ Alcohol and drug use
β’ Choices and consequences
β’ Mental health and wellbeing
β’ Identity, strength, and resilience
β’ Connection and hope
This program is trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and youth-led, supporting young people to find their voice, reflect on their journey, and build healthier pathways forward.
π± Healing happens when young people feel seen, heard, and valued.
π A big thank you to Yvonne Neave for not only making the presentation look amazing, but also for co-facilitating the program alongside me. Your creativity, commitment, and support make such a meaningful difference.
π And a heartfelt thank you to the amazing participants who showed up, shared, listened, and gave their time. Your courage, honesty, and presence are what make this work truly powerful.
