I polled on my stories the other week and the majority of you said you wanna hear my birth story so here it is, now that the baby in question is 2.

I’ve wanted to write it for ages but didn’t know how to tell it without freaking people out. But then I decided that doesn’t really matter, it’s your choice to read it or not!

October photo dump. I love that I just have a camera in my pocket and can photograph everything. I forgot to add it to this photo carousel but I also had a reel (2, really) go off and have gotten a load of new followers this month. If that’s you, hi, I’m Emma, a q***r CLC, toddler parent and RN and my special interest is LACTATION and I’m here to help you.

But for now here is my October:

1. Stopped while driving to look at some wildflowers.
2. My sister visited and brought this beautiful artwork.
3. Went to a sunflower farm (and picked 20 sunflowers!)
4. Found a free water park
5. Grew some vegetables (radish)
6. Went hiking
7. Teddy and Baby had a bouldering adventure
8. More nature time
9. Looking at fungus growing on a tree
10. Lots of naps
11. Running around Costco
12. (One of) the first bushfire of the season
13. Velcro toddler (teething)

A bit more of an explanation WHY chest/breastfeeding lowers risk of breast cancer. There are a lot of people in the comments saying ‘well I still got it’. Unfortunately, it only lowers risk it doesn’t eradicate it. But it’s still worth it and if lowering your risk of certain cancers is your main reason for doing it that is a totally valid reason!

Patients who had more cells had better outcomes, particularly for aggressive types such as triple-negative breast cancer

We’ve recently started sending our toddler to daycare and honestly I’ve never seen so much snot in my life.
