🦴 HEALTHY BONES CLINIC 🦴
In Australia, approximately 6.2million people aged >50 years have osteopenia or osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis is a ‘silent disease’ because bone deterioration happens with no symptoms until a fracture occurs, the condition is under recognised and affected individuals are undertreated¹.

The Healthy Bones clinic will help identify patients who are at risk of osteoporosis using clinical assessment tools.

Lawler's Wholelife Pharmacy & Healthfoods are holding our Healthy Bones Clinic on Wednesday March 19th from 10am.

Appointments with the nurse are 20 minutes long and will include:

🏋️‍♀️ Assessment of personal risk factors affecting bone health

🏋️‍♀️ Assessment of real fracture risk using FRAX assessment tool

🏋️‍♀️ Specialist referrals and pathology requests

🏋️‍♀️ Medication management and script renewal

🏋️‍♀️ Personalised lifestyle and product recommendation as appropriate

This clinic is for people with risk factors that may affect bone health such as:
- Increasing age
- A history of bone fractures
- Post menopausal women
- Low levels of physical activity
- or those who smoke.

All about fermentation and led by one of our nutritionists Megan, it was a great success and loads of fun.
