Right now, psychologists are subsidising the public mental health system.

The Medicare rebate doesn’t cover the true cost of care, and people are missing out because of it.

Stand with us in demanding a $150 rebate per session for clients of ALL psychologists, so more Australians can access care when they need it.

Petition time! We are WAY overdue for an increase in medicare rebatable psychology sessions. Ten sessions are simply NOT enough. Not only for those with complex needs and/or trauma, but as anyone who works with children will tell you....it takes a good 4-5 sessions just to get children feeling safe, trusting and able to open up fully in therapy before deeper work can commence!

Please consider signing the petition below: a coalition of nine psychology associations have come together with the sole aim of increasing the number of medicare sessions per year - have your say!

What a beautiful example of what support in the workplace should look like. It’s heartening to know that strides are being made for acceptance of mental health conditions - still a long ways to go but at least it’s heading in the right direction!

This morning, on ABC News Breakfast, Nate Byrne experience a panic attack while presenting the weather. What happened next was a beautiful example of a safe place to work, relevant to live radio too.
