Boy am I glad I signed up for this year’s AAPI conference! Hanging with these phenom (enal) women psychologists, as well as making many new friends!
Plus a cheeky croissant for brekky and some interesting juice.
Oh yeah and learning lots! That thing.
All in all a blast and I can’t wait for the next one!

Right now, psychologists are subsidising the public mental health system.

The Medicare rebate doesn’t cover the true cost of care, and people are missing out because of it.

Stand with us in demanding a $150 rebate per session for clients of ALL psychologists, so more Australians can access care when they need it.

Petition time! We are WAY overdue for an increase in medicare rebatable psychology sessions. Ten sessions are simply NOT enough. Not only for those with complex needs and/or trauma, but as anyone who works with children will tell you....it takes a good 4-5 sessions just to get children feeling safe, trusting and able to open up fully in therapy before deeper work can commence!
