1) What are your qualifications? There is no limit.

Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying)
Bachelor of Social Science (Social Welfare)
Diploma of Community Service Work
Cert IV Youth Work

Luke has over 7 years’ experience working with people with a broad range of health and social issues. Including: mental illness; substance use and addiction; stress and anxiety; depression and low mood; loss and grief; relationship issues; unemployment and financial stress; criminal charges and legal issues; disabilities; child protection; and domestic violence. Luke draws not only from his professional experience and training, but from having experienced issues with mental health and addiction in his own life.


2) What is Solution-Focused Therapy and does it work? Solution-Focused Therapy is a future-focused therapeutic approach which brings about change by constructing solutions rather than dwelling on problems. Luke will work with you to find solutions, to build the future you want, and then to take steps towards that future. Research has found that Solution-Focused Therapy can help for a range of health and social issues at a success rate of up to 70%.


3) Do you work with children? At this stage, Luke only works with people over 18 years of age.


4) I'm feeling a little nervous. What can I expect?

✔ A safe and judgement-free space.
✔ That Luke will work within his scope of practise, using evidence-based therapies and theoretical approaches approved by the Australian Association of Social Work.

6) How much are sessions and can I claim a rebate? Session are typically 45 to 50 minutes and cost $145. At this stage, there are no rebates for sessions. Remedy hopes to offer rebates in the future such as through a Mental Health Treatment Plan, however exactly when is unclear.


7) How many sessions can I have? As many as you want or need! However, Luke believes in empowering people to take control of their own life and will encourage you to do so ASAP.
