Knowing how to treat a burn can turn panic into protection.
Seek medical help if a burn is:
• larger than a 20-cent coin
• on the face, hands, feet or ge****ls
• deep, blistered, or caused by chemicals/electricity
If in doubt always seek medical advice

Not all burns are the same. Knowing the difference can help you respond quickly.

1st degree burns are fairly mild - think a light sunburn
2nd degree burns can be things like hot tea spills
3rd degree burns require immediate treatment - direct contact with fire or boiling oil

If you’re unsure, always seek medical help. Burns in children can worsen quickly.
