We’re delighted to welcome Dr Yvonne Baker to the Sage Women’s Specialists team.

Yvonne is an obstetrician and gynaecologist who is dedicated to providing safe, compassionate and personalised care for women at every stage of their journey. She cares for all pregnancies, from straightforward to more complex, and also supports patients with a range of gynaecological concerns including PCOS, abnormal periods, ovarian cysts and contraception.

Yvonne completed her training across several leading hospitals including the Mercy Hospital for Women, where she now also holds a public appointment and helps train the next generation of doctors.

Outside of work, she’s kept busy by her three energetic children and enjoys yoga, baking and time in the garden.

We’re thrilled to have her join the Sage team! Contact us to make an appointment with Dr Baker now.

Breastfeeding can be a beautiful experience, but it doesn’t always come naturally.

Many mums face challenges such as latch difficulties or concerns about supply, and that’s completely normal. Your worth as a parent is never measured in millilitres, and asking for support is a strength.

If you’re unsure where to start, a few simple steps can help. Focus on a comfortable setup and a deep latch, using pillows to support you. Seek support early from a lactation consultant or child health nurse, as timely guidance can make a big difference. And remember to care for yourself too. Staying hydrated, nourished and as rested as possible supports both you and your baby.
