We recently invited our patients to share feedback about their experience at Eaton and Australind Medical Centre and we’re very grateful to everyone who took the time to respond.

Patient feedback is a vital part of how we reflect, improve and ensure we’re delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care. While the overall feedback was very positive, a number of common themes were raised, including access to preferred doctors, waiting times, fees and how our appointment systems work.

We’ve written a detailed blog post outlining:
• what we heard from patients
• why some of these challenges exist in modern general practice
• what we’re already doing, and how we approach these issues as a doctor-led practice

You can read the full response here: https://www.eatonmedical.com.au/listening-to-our-patients-what-we-heard-and-how-were-responding/

Thank you for helping us continue to improve the care we provide to our community.

LED light therapy is often misunderstood as a “cosmetic add-on.”

In reality, photobiomodulation influences fundamental cellular processes — including mitochondrial activity, inflammation pathways, microcirculation and tissue repair.

That’s why we use it across multiple clinical contexts:
• Hair restoration
• Skin rejuvenation
• Post-procedure recovery
• Inflammatory skin conditions
• Regenerative protocols
• Photodynamic therapy for pre-malignant and select malignant skin lesions

If a technology is good enough for patients, it should be good enough for clinicians too.

At Eaton Skin & Aesthetics, we believe great skin care starts with medical expertise, precision, and evidence-based practice.

Led by experienced doctors, our clinic focuses on:
• Comprehensive skin assessments
• Skin cancer detection and management
• Medical and aesthetic dermatology
• Regenerative and longevity-focused skin treatments

Every treatment is guided by anatomy, safety, and individualised care — not trends.

We kindly remind patients that reverse parking is not permitted on the fence side of our practice car park.

Unfortunately, we have experienced ongoing damage to the boundary fence caused by vehicles reversing into bays and striking it with towbars. Repairing this damage requires time and resources that could otherwise be directed toward improving patient care and facilities.

👉 Reverse parking on the building side is not a problem
👉 Forward parking only is required on the fence side

This applies equally to everyone, regardless of:

Vehicle size or type

Reversing cameras or sensors

Driving experience or confidence

The car park is private property, provided for the convenience of patients attending the practice, and we ask that all parking signage is respected.

To help protect the property and ensure fairness for all patients, CCTV monitoring is being installed, and damage caused by vehicles may be pursued for repair costs.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation — we truly appreciate it 🙏

On 12 December, Dr Rob Archer attended his graduation ceremony in Brisbane at the University of Queensland, where he was awarded a Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer).

This qualification represents advanced postgraduate training focused on the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of skin cancer.

Combined with additional postgraduate qualifications in dermatology and aesthetic medicine, this places Dr Archer among the most highly qualified skin cancer doctors servicing the greater Bunbury region.

This level of training enables patients of Eaton & Australind Medical Centre to access high-level skin cancer assessment and treatment locally, without the need to travel to Perth or interstate.

An Important Update on Our Billing Policy

Eaton & Australind Medical Centre has made the strategic decision not to participate in the government's new Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program (BBPIP) from November 1, 2025.
Our commitment is to quality, patient-centred medical care. The financial structure of the new program is insufficient to support the time and resources required for the comprehensive consultations our patients deserve. Participation would necessitate a shift to a high-volume, "6-minute medicine" model, which is contrary to our practice philosophy.

Our current mixed billing policy will continue unchanged. This approach allows us to maintain our high standard of service and ensure the long-term viability of our practice for the community. We remain dedicated to providing accessible care, and we will continue to bulk bill DVA patients, Commonwealth concession card holders, and children under 16yo.

Importantly, while we will not commit to bulk-billing all appointments, the new incentive does make it more viable to bulk bill shorter, uncomplicated appointments for all patients. Where we previously applied discounts to the standard private fee for simple visits, many of these visits may now be bulk billed under the new arrangements. As a result, a significant number of patients will benefit from these changes, even though we are not participating in the full bulk billing program.

Your family's health is our priority, and this decision ensures we can continue providing the quality care you trust.
