We got up to some fun around Wirraway this past weekend!

Our participants enjoyed:
🎃 Halloween celebrations with spooky costumes and treats
🏇 Early Melbourne Cup festivities (complete with fancy hats!)
🎸 Live country music at the Adelaide Country Music Club
🚗 Vintage cars and machinery at Strathalbyn Motor Museum
🐑 Sheep herding, Shelter building skills and Whips and lassos practice at Appaloosas
🏕️ Quality time at Wirraway with mates

We have been getting into the magic of the spooky season this week with a trip to Haigh's Chocolates Factory to stock up on sweet treats and spending the afternoon doing Halloween crafts (making skeletons and mummies 💀) to decorate our spaces 🎃

We don't think any of the chocolate purchased on this trip is going to last until next Friday 😅

What an awesome weekend getaway we just had to Wallaroo! Here are a few of the memories our participants and team shared 📸

As a group we made the most of every minute: fossicking at the Moonta mines, visiting the local art gallery, and Wallaroo museum. Special shoutout to Annie and Rob who hosted us the Wallaroo Community Sports Club where we saw everyone's competitive side come out ⚽

Wirraway, we are coming for you! Our next weekend getaway runs from 31 Oct to 2 Nov, the perfect mix of fun, real world capacity building, and community bonding for participants.

Another brilliant day sailing with Dis-Able Sailing Inc! Spring weather is finally here and we even had some seals come say hello 🦭☀️

We do this every month (weather depending) and honestly, it never gets old. Already looking forward to the next one! Thanks to the crew for always making us feel so welcome on the water 💙

Bug hunting success at Wittunga National Park yesterday! Nets, binoculars, and lots of discoveries about our tiny ecosystem heroes 🌸
The excitement doesn't stop there because we're expanding this learning journey throughout the month with butterfly chrysalises joining us soon (can't wait to witness those magical transformations together!), plus the Muddy Hands Festival, life cycle discoveries, and nature-inspired craft adventures.
