Here’s the Thursday, and here’s to life’s simple pleasures, like 🥑 on toast.

We love choosing quality sourdough, spelt or rye.

Here’s an interesting fact for you:

3-indolepropionic acid (IPA) is a beneficial
substance produced by some gut bacteria when they break down the amino acid tryptophan. It is a strong anti-oxidant that can help protect the nervous system from damage. Research has also shown that IPA may play a role in glucose metabolism and also play a role in maintaining the gut barrier.

Studies have shown that consuming foods high in dietary fibre, and in particular rye, can help increase IPA production.

When simple meets satisfying. Avocado on toast 🥑

Avocados are a source of vitamins C, E, K, and B6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium.

They also provide lutein, beta carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids. Avocados contain high levels of healthy, beneficial fats, which can help a person feel fuller between meals.

Food truly is medicine.
