As a subdivision representing the Northern Clinical School, we are passionate about fostering our medical students' interest in surgery. Whether it is through educational lectures, skill-based workshops or research opportunities, we aim to provide an exciting progra

Wow everyone‼️April has been a busy and exciting month for us🤩
We had a blast at our plastering workshop, with special thanks to Stephen, the legendary ED consultant, and Louis, an amazing ED reg for their time🥹

Great job team! We hope everyone enjoyed it and is excited for more to come (Hint: 🪡👀👀)

SSSM Northern is excited to present the MD survival series, where you will learn about the useful tips and tricks from the experienced MD3s! ⛵️

Our first session will focus on surviving a surgical rotation and how to use the EHR—essential skills to help you feel more confident on the ward.
We’ll be providing catering, so come along for a chill afternoon, some words of wisdom, and free food 🥪✨

📣 Hello everyone!!

SSSM Northern is excited to host a Zoom session for MD4s, featuring interns from various hospitals who will be sharing their experiences. We’ve invited interns from Northern, RMH, St. Vincent’s, Alfred, and Austin 😲

This will be a great opportunity to ask any burning questions in a relaxed and supportive space. While many internship talks focus on work culture and what to consider when ranking preferences, it can be difficult to understand what that actually looks like in practice.

We thought it would be helpful to hear directly from students who have been in your shoes about how they made their decisions and what their experiences have been like🫂
