“Just tell me what to eat.”

We hear it all the time.

And to be fair, with the amount of conflicting advice out there, most people aren’t looking for another diet…

They just want clarity.

The problem is, what works for one person doesn’t always work for another.
Different body composition.
Different goals.
Different lifestyles.

That’s why we’ve stepped things up with how we approach nutrition at Element Movement.
We start with a detailed body composition scan. From that, we can determine your calorie and macronutrient needs based on your body and your goal.

From there, we build out a personalised plan.
Not a generic template.
Not something pulled off the internet.
Something that actually fits your day to day life.

The meals in this post are real examples of what that can look like. Simple, structured, and built to hit the targets that matter.

This isn’t about handing out random meal plans to everyone.
It’s a structured service we offer for those who want proper direction, either as part of coaching or as a one-off consult.

And if the past couple of weeks have shown us anything, it’s exactly that.
Our town’s been through a lot.

There’s fatigue, stress, financial pressure… and for many people, training is the last thing on their mind right now.

That’s not weakness. That’s reality.
But it does highlight something important.
If motivation is the main thing you rely on to exercise, you’re always going to struggle to stay consistent.

Because even when life is smooth, motivation is inconsistent at best. It comes and goes, usually when things are easy, when you’re feeling good, when life is under control.
The moment things get hard, it disappears.
That’s why the people who stay consistent long term aren’t the ones who are always motivated. They’re the ones who have a reason that runs deeper than how they feel on the day.
A purpose.

Something that actually matters to them.
For some, it’s performance. For others, it’s getting out of pain. For some, it’s being a better example for their kids. For others, it’s getting back to a version of themselves they felt proud of, or simply having the energy to enjoy life again.
There’s no right or wrong reason.

But it has to be stronger than “I should probably get fitter.”

Because when things get tough, “should” doesn’t carry you very far.

Right now, if you’re feeling flat, don’t wait for motivation to come back.

Just take a step back and ask yourself… why does this actually matter to me?

Element Movement Community Update

Like everyone in Exmouth, the past few days have been pretty full on. A lot of people are dealing with damage, clean up, no power, and helping friends and family get back on their feet.

We just wanted to let everyone know that the gym now has power, lights, music and air conditioning again, and we realise how lucky we are. We’ve been told only a small number of buildings in town currently have power, and we know many homes still don’t, including ours.

Because of this, we want to open the doors not just for training, but for the community to use the space if they need it. If you need somewhere cool to sit, charge your phone or laptop, have a coffee, stretch, lie on a mat, use a foam roller, or just have a bit of normality for an hour, you’re very welcome to come in.

Over the next week we will be running a reduced morning training schedule only, and keeping afternoons free so we can all spend time helping friends, neighbours and the community where needed.

Morning Schedule This Week:

• Monday / Wednesday / Friday
- 5:30am Group Fitness,
- 6:30am Men’s Semi Private

• Tuesday / Thursday
- 6:30am Group Fitness,
- 7:30am Women’s Semi Private

Group Fitness members can book through the app.

Semi Private members can just text to confirm.

Most importantly, look after your homes, your families and each other. Training can wait. Community comes first right now.

If you need a place to cool down, charge devices, or just sit somewhere with power and aircon, our doors are open.

We’re looking for a Personal Trainer / Fitness Coach to join the team at Element Movement.

Our studio has grown into a great community of locals who enjoy training hard, getting stronger, and having a bit of banter along the way.
Because of that growth we’re now looking for another coach to help run sessions each week.

The role involves coaching small group strength and conditioning sessions.
All programming is already written, so your focus is simply coaching, helping members improve their technique, and creating a great training environment.

The position would start at around 4–12 hours per week, with flexibility depending on availability.

This role could suit someone who:

• Has a Cert III or IV in Fitness
• Is studying fitness and looking for experience
• Has coaching experience in sport or strength training

Most important to us is someone who is reliable, positive, and enjoys helping people improve their health and fitness.

Training for the elements… and whatever life throws at ya.

Bit of an update on Pam & Murray.

These two legends started training with me in the studio to get strong, fit and mobile for a snowboarding trip to Japan. Not just to make it down the mountain — but to actually enjoy it, stay strong, and keep up with the younger crew.
They smashed it.

Now they’re caravanning around the West Coast, still training with me remotely. Three sessions a week, out along side their caravan with some dumbbells and yoga mats, getting it done no matter where they are.

They’ve kept their nutrition solid (still enjoying a good wine and a 'low carb' beer here and there), stayed consistent, and kept moving forward. No BS. No excuses.

They’ll be rolling back into Exmouth in November, and we’ll be back face-to-face.
But honestly, they’ve probably made more progress on the road than most people do with a full gym at their fingertips.

Pam & Murray show exactly what we’re all about — showing up, staying disciplined, and getting on with it.
They don’t need someone to hold their hand or fire them up. They use me as a coach, not a motivator.

Discipline over comfort. Progress over excuses. That’s the game.
