Clinic Statement

Upper Kedron Medical Centre would like to inform our community that Dr Ramesh Nandamuri has stepped away from the clinic indefinitely. We will not be commenting further on any personal issues, but he will no longer be available for any appointments.

We want to reassure all patients that your care remains our absolute priority.
Our clinic continues to operate as normal, with Dr Sivateja Mukkamala, our experienced nursing team, and our committed support staff available to assist with all medical needs. We remain fully staffed and ready to provide ongoing, consistent care for every patient and family.

We genuinely thank our community for the support, kindness, and understanding shown to us during this difficult time. Upper Kedron Medical Centre is part of a strong and caring neighbourhood, and we are committed to being here for you — today and every day.

With the fires around, we’re likely to see some smoke drifting through Upper Kedron and nearby suburbs soon. It might get a bit thick at times, so just a reminder:

Best to stay indoors if you can

Keep windows and doors closed

Pop the aircon on recirculate if you’ve got it

Try to avoid outdoor exercise for now

If you or someone in your household has asthma or breathing issues, make sure puffers and plans are handy.

Take care of yourselves and check in on your neighbours if they might need a hand. 💛

🦅😅 It’s swooping season in Brisbane!

Magpies are out protecting their nests, which means a simple walk, ride, or school run can turn into an unexpected game of “dodge the dive-bomb.”

👉 Tips to stay safe:

Pop on a hat and sunnies for extra protection

Walk your bike through known swooping areas

Keep an eye out for magpie warning signs in your neighbourhood

And remember — they’re only defending their babies, so no hard feelings!

If you do happen to get scratched or pecked, clean the wound straight away and pop in to see your GP or nurse for proper care.

Stay safe, stay sun smart, and maybe give the maggies a little extra space for the next while. 🌳
