We are looking for women aged 20 and over who may be interested in joining her for a casual coffee, lunch, or relaxed social outing as a starting point to form a small and supportive social networking circle.

Today we recognise International Day of People with Disability.
It is a day to celebrate the strengths, achievements and contributions of people with disability, and to reflect on how we can create communities that are more inclusive, accessible and respectful for everyone.

At Mohcare, we are committed to listening to people with lived experience, championing choice and control, and supporting people with disability to live the life they choose at home and in the community.

Inclusion is everyone’s responsibility.
We invite our community, partners and supporters to join us in challenging stigma, promoting access, and celebrating the incredible diversity and talent of people with disability today and every day.

Carer burnout is real

Many carers are exhausted but keep pushing through.

Burnout does not happen overnight. It builds up slowly.

Some signs include:
• Always feeling tired
• Snappy or more emotional than usual
• Finding it hard to focus
• Losing interest in things you used to enjoy
• Feeling guilty for wanting a break

If this sounds like you, you are not failing. You are human.

Looking after yourself is not selfish. It helps you keep caring.

Please check in with yourself, talk to someone you trust, and ask about support or respite in your area.

Mohcare is proud to support this incredible annual event — a free, invitation-only Christmas Party for up to 2,500 children from across South East Queensland, travelling from as far as Bundaberg to Roma and Tweed Heads.

The event brings together children from birth to twelve years old, including those living with disabilities and complex needs. Working alongside Variety – the Children’s Charity Qld and more than 800 local charities, community groups, schools, and service providers, this special day ensures every child has the chance to experience the magic of Christmas.
