IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING MOONEY'S CAFE

1 June 2026

Dear Residents and Staff,
It is with great disappointment that we inform you that this morning, David Mooney notified Village Baxter of the immediate closure of Mooney’s Café.
David has shared that he will be transitioning to a new business model; for personal and family reasons.
The Mooney’s Meals service will continue to provide home delivery of meals to Village Residents; however, the meals will now be prepared in an alternative kitchen. David will be in contact with Residents who had pre-paid their meals or function bookings.
We will provide further information once we have had the opportunity to seek expressions of interest from new catering contractors.

Mooney's Cafe - Updated Hours
As of Monday, 1st June, Mooney’s Cafe will be closed on Mondays & Saturdays.
The new hours of operation will be: Tuesday to Friday & Sunday, 10am to 2pm.
To assist with catering and staffing, bookings and pre-orders are recommended and greatly appreciated. Bookings are essential for large groups.

Position Vacant: Manor Weekend Receptionist (9am to 1pm)

Are you someone who genuinely enjoys welcoming people and creating a sense of calm, connection and professionalism from the very first hello? Village Baxter is seeking a warm, organised and people-focused administration assistant to join our team in a weekend job share role. The successful candidate will be available to work Saturdays and Sundays every second weekend between 9am and 1pm and will ideally also have flexibility to cover weekday leave when required. As a primary point of contact for residents, families, visitors and staff, the successful applicant will play an important role in shaping the daily experience of those in our 64-bed Aged Care facility.
