Very honoured to attend again the annual fund-raising and awareness breakfast for Hope Bereavement Care early this morning (it was still dark).

Hope Bereavement Care is a not-for-profit organisation in Geelong, offering information, support and counselling to anyone in the region affected by sudden and unexpected death.

A very needed service in times of need.

Thankyou to for donating the catering.

Hopefully End of Life Doulas will be recognised soon as an important part of home deathcare.

End of life doulas omitted from the Federal Government's new End of Life Pathway say its a missed opportunity.

We had a very informative Death Chat Cafe this morning at Cafe Brioche Newtown Geelong. Thankyou Kylie for your private room.

We discussed in depth what our own end of life wishes are.

🌸 What and where is your ideal Death space. Some answers, home, hospice or just a comfortable place. With family and close friends around. A cat on the bed (Martine of course).
🌸 Cremation or burial.
🌸 Resting place. Which cemetery, ashes scattered where?
🌸 Funeral. In a Church, on a beach, or no funeral at all. A celebrant or Religious ceremony? Just a wake at a party venue with lots of dancing and music?

We decided at the end we were going to finalise our own wishes to let our loved ones know.

Let us know if you have any plans to share.

Next Cafe is Wednesday 11th June at 10.30am Cafe Brioche Newtown.

All welcome. 💜

Well done Martine.
