Spiro’s Valentine’s Dessert Trolley was a spectacular celebration of all things sweet and romantic. Overflowing with beautiful cakes, cupcakes topped with pink swirls of cream, raspberry-drizzled meringues, berry-filled trifles, and heart-inspired creations, the trolley was a true feast for both the eyes and the tastebuds. It was a stunning display of creativity and care, bringing joy, colour and indulgence to our Valentine’s celebration. Brilliant work Spiro, as always!

Drag bingo came to Eden Park with the fabulous 'Glitterally'! So much fun and so many laughs as residents were entertained by song, dance and hilarious games of bingo. Residents can't wait to have the gorgeous and talented Queen back again.

Each Friday residents in Jinjulu gather to play 'Deal or No Deal'. We have kept a tally and today, residents were presented with a 'cheque' for their yearly winnings. $526,653.00. Residents dreamed about what they would have spend 1/2 million dollars on when they were younger and now. Residents agreed on setting up their 'younger selves' with a house. If they were to receive the money now and they were fit and healthy, all agreed they would go on a holiday with all the trimmings!

We had pool noodles and cups flying everywhere, as residents aimed to knock down the towers.

Residents challenged themselves by bouncing ping pong balls into egg cartons. There were plenty of laughs and cheering from residents as they had fun and encouraged each other.

On Monday we celebrated World Science Day for Peace and Development. Residents decided to make 'rainbow flowers'. Everyone enjoyed watching the 'magic' happen over the next 48 hours, the white chrysanthemum's turned into beautiful rainbow flowers.

A New Era for Aged Care

Today marks a major milestone in aged care across Australia. The new Aged Care Act 2024 and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards officially come into effect from 1 November 2025.

These reforms place older Australians firmly at the centre of care — bringing a stronger focus on dignity, choice, safety, and quality in every part of aged care.

Here at Eden Park, we celebrated RUOK Day with high tea. Residents gathered together wearing yellow and their biggest smiles. They also shared some delicious treats and conversations about mental health and how to look out for each other. A great afternoon was had by all.

Last Friday our gents gathered for a BBQ lunch to celebrate Father’s Day. Over delicious food, they enjoyed a yarn or two, sharing stories about their fathers and their own journeys of becoming dads. The afternoon was filled with laughter, reflection, and good company. To top it off, each gent received a thoughtful gift to mark the occasion.

Today at Eden Park Community Aged Care, we proudly celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have given so much — not just to their families, but to the communities they’ve helped shape.

At The Vue Community Aged Care, another one of our For Purpose Aged Care homes, we witnessed beautiful and heartfelt moments between fathers and their loved ones — a powerful reminder of the love, strength, and connection passed down through generations.

From all of us at Eden Park and across For Purpose Aged Care, thank you to every father for the wisdom, guidance, and care you continue to share. Today, we honour and celebrate you.

At For Purpose Aged Care, we know that regular exercise is a vital part of healthy ageing and our residents are loving our activity programs. We offer a wide variety of daily exercise.

Options like chair yoga, Zumba, physio led exercises, seated soccer, balloon tennis and strength classes. Residents particularly enjoy morning walking group, whether it’s sunny or a crisp winter morning in VIC/NSW,
our residents love starting their day with fresh air, movement, and great company.
