Support Worker Spotlight: Luca 🧡

Luca is a Torquay local and one of our support workers at Gems. Support Co, supporting clients across Torquay, the Surf Coast, Geelong and the Bellarine.

Currently studying Business Finance and Economics at university, Luca also began completing his Personal Training certification, which sparked a strong interest in helping young people build confidence through fitness and healthy routines.

With a calm, encouraging and honest approach, Luca connects particularly well with teenage boys and young adults.

Some of the things Luca enjoys supporting clients with include:
• Gym sessions and working towards fitness goals
• Staying active through sport and outdoor activities
• Gaming and building social confidence
• Developing routines and independence
• Practical life skills like budgeting and planning

Luca’s relaxed nature and shared interests help young people feel comfortable quickly while building confidence and working towards their goals.

 Manon has completed her Diploma of Community Services and supports clients as a Support Worker at Gems. Support Co.

With experience as a camp counsellor in America, Manon enjoys creating safe, engaging, and inclusive spaces for young people and adults.

As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, Manon is passionate about providing affirming, patient, and client-centred support.

Manon has a special interest in working with young people who identify as q***r and/or neurodivergent.
