Heading back to Geraldton feeling fully recharged!
EMDR training, working with children, and sneaking in some family time, I’m returning to the therapy room tomorrow with a full heart and fresh knowledge to share. 💛

Working therapeutically with children healing from trauma is one of the most powerful parts of this job. Children carry an innate healing wisdom — and they can only access it through safe, trusting relationships and strong connection to their sense of self.

Trauma work with kids means being flexible, creative, and somatic. It’s tuning into their implicit, often preverbal stories through their own nervous system, and helping them reprocess memories through movement, play, art, and fun. Many little ones carry experiences that leave them stuck in protective states or disconnected from who they are. My role is to help them gently reconnect and remember that healing has always been possible. 🌱
