These sessions are about more than cooking. They help build everyday skills such as meal preparation, food safety, following instructions, teamwork, and confidence, all in a supportive small-group environment.

This is just the beginning. Our Skills Hub is designed to be a welcoming space where participants can learn practical life skills, explore interests, and enjoy time together.

🌟 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙮 𝙅𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚🌟

Pure Living Accommodation & Care had the best time welcoming and supporting our newest member Shay at our Olive Tree Home in Gilleston Heights for respite!

Shay stayed with us for a week to enjoy a little get away and to give her family some much-deserved downtime.

Shay packed her week with fun activities alongside her support workers, and we loved every minute of it.

Here’s what Shay and her support team got up to;

🏋️ Gym Fun: Kicked off the day with some energizing workouts!

🛍️ Shopping Spree: A little retail therapy is always a win.

🧁 Baking: Shay whipped up some tasty treats that made our place smell amazing!

🕯️ Candle Making: Shay got crafty and made some cool candles with some of our other participants.

💃 🎤 Singing & Dancing: The team had a blast jamming out together!

💄 Pampering: Hair braiding and relaxation were definitely added to that agenda.

🎳 Bowling: Yes she took out first place!

🥳 Birthday: Shay went back home with her support worker to celebrate her sibling’s birthday.

♟️ Games: Connect 4 - shes also really good at that.

🌿 Walks in the Neighbourhood: Enjoyed fresh air, sunshine and quality time outdoors together.

🍽️ Lunch Out: Shay enjoyed a delicious meal in the community with her support team.

All in all, Shay had an incredible time, and so did we, we cannot wait to see her again in a couple of weeks for more fun adventures! 💖

Last year, we worked behind the scenes to establish Pure Start Incorporated 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁-𝗳𝗼𝗿-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝘁 social enterprise. Pure Start was created by the team behind Pure Living to expand opportunities for the people we support. This year, we’re officially launching it into operation.

🌱 Pure Start Incorporated exists for the people we support at Pure Living. It’s about building skills, opening doors, and creating genuine opportunities.

Through Pure Start and the Hub, participants will:

✅ Build practical life and work skills
✅ Create real pathways to paid opportunities through markets and community sales
✅ 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀
✅ Ensure participant voice at every level, including representation on the Pure Start board

Today marked an important milestone.

🛠️ Our 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱, and participants held their first candle-making session in the space.

Over the next quarter, the Hub will be a consistent place for participants to develop skills, refine products, and prepare for 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, with a goal of attending markets in Quarter 2.

This is about opportunity.
This is about growth.
This is about creating pathways forward.

Her consistency, initiative and attitude make a real difference.

We’re proud to share that Pure Living Accommodation & Care has successfully passed our independent NDIS mid-term audit with 𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀.

The audit also identified 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 across 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Today we were officially handed the keys to a brand new, purpose-built home that has been in the works for some time — and we’re incredibly proud to finally share it.
