Boston Bay Family Health practice is looking for a GP obstetrician, or a GP who wants to train to be a GP obstetrician (Port Lincoln is accredited for training Associates (Procedural & Advanced Procedural).

This is a fantastic clinic and where I did my GP registrar training under Dr Kris Bascomb. The clinic works hard to give GPs the type of work and balance that appeals to them. They are flexible and innovative in their thinking.

Your health care is under attack.

Did you know that the state government has a new interpretation of payroll tax that will now apply to your visits to the doctor?

General Practices are private business, the fees from your visits are what keeps the doors open. More taxes mean more money from your hip pocket.

You already pay more for doctor visits because of
the decade long frozen Medicare patient rebate
failure for the patient rebate to increase with CPI (Consumer Price Index) and
a patient rebate system that penalises you for long consultations

More expensive doctor visits will have a catastrophic impact on your health
More ambulance ramping
More presentations to ED
More people suffering life threatening complications of conditions

There is NO public general practice system for the community. Ask your state government MP to exempt general practice from the new payroll tax interpretation.
