Find presence in the moment you’re in now. The request to ‘be present’ has been a tough one for me. We are so used to doing so many things at the same time, constantly changing our focus, bouncing from moment to moment. When all that really matters is right here, right now. When I am feeling overwhelmed or find myself overthinking, I try to remind myself of this moment. Instead of constantly nagging yourself to ‘be present’, choose to ask yourself to ‘find presence’. It’s a gentler approach and a way to help yourself find much needed and deserved peace in any moment. 🙏

Year of Adventure! This year my focus is on adventure and challenging myself to do things that make me scared or uncomfortable. I kicked off the year with the Polar Bear Dip. 2 degree outdoor temperature and 3 degrees in the water. Check out that snow on the sand and on the mountains behind us! 🥶 As a bonus we helped raise money to support people of all abilities in participating in outdoor recreation. First challenge ✅🥳✨ inspired 🧊 😊

New Year - now what?! It can be daunting - talk of resolutions, pressure to change bad habits. But wait! Instead of seeing the new year as a massive to-do list, let’s look at it as a gift, an opportunity. An opportunity to re-focus, to simplify and to tune in. Take a moment to reflect on the year that has been… What was missing? What did you find that you want or need more of? Each year I like to find a word that is meaningful to me, that encapsulates a goal that I want for myself in the new year. There are no limits, no restrictions but try to dig deep and really tune in to what your mind, body and spirit truly need. Give yourself the space and quiet to hear yourself think and the answers will come naturally. This will become your focus and your motivation. Something you can lean on in times of challenge and find joy in times of reflection. Find a word that resonates with you and commit to it. New year, New chapter. Let’s make it a story worth reading!! ❤️✨

I’m back!! After a little break I’m ready to go again. I’ve found it hard to find the time, the purpose and the clarity to share my thoughts and inspirations lately. The end of a busy and full year, for me, has brought up thoughts of resistance, procrastination and confusion. Leading to feelings of guilt and a sense of being ‘lost’. I’ve fought it and let it swirl and settle and decided… This is all totally normal! As we try to find our value and place in this unpredictable, unrelenting and constantly changing world, it’s only natural that we lose perspective and direction once in a while. We work so hard all year to keep up, to show up and to maintain this steady, unfaltering, yet unsustainable, momentum. Which leaves us dragging ourselves to yet another ‘finish’ line, bruised, battered and exhausted. Instead of being able to celebrate achievements and move forward exhilarated by our accomplishments, we are forced to re-consider our strategies, question our purpose and wonder whether it is all really worth it?! I’m realising now, that taking time to let things settle is not only OK but necessary. We need time to figure things out. Time to listen to our inner voice and time to wait for guidance. Time to just be. I hope you’re all taking some ‘time’ for whatever it is that you need and allowing yourself space to figure out what that is. And if you aren’t, then I hope you do now. My time today is a quiet moment (although very rare) to sit and enjoy a beautiful view, a warm cup and time to do what I love, which is sharing these thoughts with you. Until it passes, I’ve got you! ❤️

Accepting things we can’t change. Accepting things we can’t control. A positive, yet complex, idea. When we choose to accept (our feelings, our circumstances, our challenges), we are choosing to support and champion ourselves. By accepting, we realise that no matter what, we can get through this. No matter what, we are or will be tough enough. It’s not easy, no one ever said it would be. Accepting is not giving up or giving in. It is noticing and being aware that things are not what we expected and appreciating the way this makes us feel (for better or worse). When we can do this, we can sit in the discomfort until it passes and regain the perspective and strength to then say… ok life let’s do this! 🙌

Nature is our greatest teacher. If we are open to discovering, receiving and interpreting its infinite wisdom, we are amongst the most fortunate of learners.
