I experienced my first ever floatation therapy recently and it was by far the most blissful, relaxing, healing, divine experience I have ever had!

It’s no secret that I have had a long battle with trying get a good night’s sleep.

And when I see research stats like this it confirms for me even more how vitally important it is to maintain optimal health.

If there’s only one thing you can change in your life right now this should be it!

I am sooo thankful that through the research I have been doing and the changes I have made I now get a great night’s sleep nearly every night.

It’s only on the nights I don’t stick to the below routine that I end up tossing and turning all night.

My go to:
❌ I don’t eat after 8.30pm
✅ I take Magnesium malate
✅ I take Magnesium glycinate
✅ I take L-theanine
✅I go to bed at 9.30
✅ I wake up and go sit out in the sun for 10 min - this helps to set your circadian rhythm 💤

This is your reminder to rest! I’ve really had to learn this the hard way!

Rest doesn’t come easy to me. There’s always something to do, whether it’s a workout, housework or work.

But you know what? It caught up with me!

How many of you feel burned out? It happened to me this week after months of home renovations, long hours at work and an ‘active’ holiday all I wanted to do was sleep.

So I did. And now I feel great.

Rest is when the body regenerates, heals damaged cells and improves cognitive function.

I used to feel guilty if I took time out for me.

Life is hectic, stressful and demanding. But if I want to maintain my health I NEED time out.

It’s OK to stop.

It’s ok to put self care first.

Calming, active exercise like yoga is healthy for the mind and the body.

There have been times in my life where I haven’t been happy. 😞

It’s not just those times when I’ve lost a loved one or had a bad day. ⠀

It’s also those days when unhappiness creeps up on you and slaps you in the face. ⠀

I remember having one of these moments when I was away at a health retreat some years ago. ⠀

I can honestly say the personal revelation I had about just how unhappy I was shocked me so much it reduced me to tears 😭 ⠀

I vowed from that day that I would change my life to ensure I was doing things that brought me happiness. ⠀

Like going horse riding, camping, bush walking, meditating. Immersing myself in nature and digitally detoxing. ⠀

According to research happiness declines in your 40s. ⠀

This decline is attributed to:⠀
❌ stress about finances⠀
❌ career dissatisfaction ⠀
❌more responsibilities ⠀
❌regret about past experiences ⠀

Unhappiness has also been linked to health issues like depression and slows down your body’s ability to heal. 😱⠀

But the great news is that happiness rebounds in your 50s as we focus on liberating and reinventing ourselves. 💪⠀

Christine designs the most divine yoga mats. 🙌 Couldn’t help but buy the one I’m standing on. It really resonated with me and I look forward to using it in my yoga practise.

My blog is all about discovering how we can all live longer – well. None of us like getting older and the latest global statistics from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery certainly indicate this. There’s been a 10.4% increase, since 2014, in nonsurgical procedures globally which equates to over 12 million non surgical procedures.

But what if you could slow down the ageing process or even reverse it from the inside out naturally? Now that’s something I’m interested in, because ultimately even if I have the face of a twenty year old but the degenerative body of an 80 year old I’m thinking that I might not be able to do all the things I’m passionate about.

I want to be able to stay healthy and well longer, so that I can enjoy life longer. I’m here to explore the latest techniques in biohacking. A world where using diet, exercise, supplements and recovery treatments to facilitate cell regeneration encourages our bodies to repair the damage caused by ageing.
